Sempaya Hot springs

The Forested Semuliki National Park occupies an isolated slice of Ugandan territory beyond the Rwenzori Mountains on the broad floor of the Rift Valley‚ between lakes Edward and Albert. The forest boasts a remarkably rich biodiversity and has 53 mammal species‚ including an impressive 11 primates and 435 bird species. One of Uganda’s newest parks‚ it was designated a national park in 1993. The park contains examples of ancient natural processes‚ including hot springs which bubble up from the depths and demonstrate the powerful subterranean forces that have been shaping Africa’s Great Rift Valley for millennia.

Activities and attractions include:-

  • Birding
  • Hot springs
  • Nature Walks
